GIGA Data Centers operates the only Open Compute Project (OCP) ReadyTM data center in North America. The Charlotte data center complies with all of the site requirements to be able to serve OCP customers and their hardware.
What is the Open Compute Project?
The Open Compute Project is an organization that shares designs of data center products and best practices among companies, including Facebook, IBM, Intel, Nokia, Google, Microsoft, Seagate Technology, Dell, Rackspace, Cisco, Goldman Sachs, Fidelity, Lenovo and Alibaba Group
”“We are witnessing a paradigm shift in the data center industry as adoption acceleration continues."
Rocky BullockCEO, Open Compute Project Foundation
What is an OCP Colo Solutions Provider?
An OCP Colo Solutions Provider operates a data center that an end-user can deploy OCP IT gear into without delay or complications. The majority of Open Compute hardware is deployed as a fully-populated rack. Data center facilities must be able to easily accommodate racks of these weights and dimensions and to be able to deploy multiple racks of such hardware at scale. In addition, the density of compute to meet scale demands and efficiency goals raises the bar for power and cooling specifications for racks.

Reap the Benefits of Open Architecture
GIGA Data Centers and Sesame by ITRenew have partnered to bring the power of hyperscale for all.
Multi-vendor, standards-based hardware for modular solutions to fit your needs.
3-node capacity (vs. typical 2-node) for more server capacity in less space saves costs
“Unlimited” rack power (up to 50kW) vs. individual server power. More efficient. Less cost. Fewer points of failure
Rack-level cooling to operate more efficiently within GIGA’s passive air-cooled WindChill® Enclosures
Flexible, easy-access design enables faster troubleshooting, updates, and upgrades
