Sustainability matters to everyone, not only for our environment but because higher efficiency equals lower costs. Our data centers are design to be the most efficient on the planet, and turnkey facilities we have developed for Federal agencies and enterprises have been recognized for their high efficiency. Put our technology to use for your needs, and feel good about minimizing your carbon footprint as you reduce your TCO.
The Most Energy Efficient Federal Data Center
On July 29, 2013, then US Department of Energy Secretary Dr. Eric Moniz dedicated a new supercomputer – one of the world’s fastest and most energy efficient – at the National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL) in Morgantown, WV. The high-performance computer for energy and the environment is not only one of the top 100 supercomputers in the world, but it is also one of the most energy efficient for its size. The data center housing the system averages a PUE of 1.06 (see https://hpc.netl.doe.gov/about/data-center/) was designed and deployed by two of the founders of GIGA Data Centers, “at times using only 1 percent of total electrical consumption to cool the equipment. The increase in efficiency translates to electrical energy cost savings of approximately $450,000 annually.” (see https://energy.gov/articles/secretary-moniz-dedicates-new-supercomputer-national-energy-technology-laboratory)
